Pros

A house-hold name product with longevity. An excellent corporate culture professed and executed at the executive level. Good benefits and programs.

Cons

Unfortunately the corporate culture doesn't go much past the executives. The individual Area VPs have much different management styles and create their own little domains. The company is full of departmental silos and there is very little uniformity between them. I had very little knowledge of what my counterparts in different parts of the US were doing. As it turns out my area colleagues and I were performing very different tasks then our nation-wide counterparts. Your job satisfaction will really depend on who you end up working for.

Advice to Senior Management

Really look at the area management and understand the disconnect being created because of power-plays and career-driven egos. Really good talent is being demotivated and morale is in the toilet.
