I have been working at Citrix Systems full-time (more than 8 years)

Pros

Fantastic benefits (PTO, Workshifting, Medical coverage <still costs way too much>). It's exciting and prideful to work for a company that is the undisputed leader in what it does.

Cons

Constant growing pains. Systems are almost never in place and working properly to accommodate new initiatives. Despite having perhaps the best C-level people when it comes to strategic planning, sales and shareholder value are the only considerations to plans versus employee satisfaction and investing in proper systems. Too many Peter Principle cases and too many fetus's.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop promoting and recycling management trash because of relationships and start cultivating leaders from a deep pool of high-achievers.

    Pros

    - Great people.
    - Excellent benefits.
    - Onsite gym, lots of soda, snacks, bagels and fruit.

    Cons

New SaaS GM trying to turn things around, everyone is on pins and needles seeing who gets laid off next.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Put a strategy in place that can make money.
    - Don't put people in charge who have too little experience.
    - Stop trying to act like web conferencing is the end all be mission critical service.

    Pros

They talk a lot about how great they are.

    Cons

Citrix is known for laying off a good share off its best employees every four year or so. "Flattening," "streamlining" are the words they like to use, as they cut costs (those with bigger salaries) and export jobs to India

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

CEO Templeton gloats over his moral values as he pulls in $10 million and lays off workers left and right
