My team was smart and supportive.

The bank is 15 years behind the times. The technology and structure of their workflow is slow and antiquated.

    Pros

    Slow work pace.
I don't think this is pros to me but for someone it might.

    Cons

None really shares vital information with peer. For a single question, you may have to wait for a week then you ended up to sending a email to your manager and cc the peer has been avoiding sharing information. Then you got the information in 5 sec.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promotion is based on favoritism not based on talent. I saw many good talent left the bank because of this.

I have been working at City National Bank full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Depending on the dept. and manager, they do not micro-manage and they are willing to work with your requests and work related needs.

    Cons

Too much office politics and hard to move up the ladder, ironically.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take more time and understand the lower ranking titles and promote base on merit more often.
