Great City but top heavy in upper management

Pool Manager I (Current Employee) San Diego, CA

ProsGreat area to work
Great pay compared to other employeers of pool guards
Outdoors, Sun or Rain
Lots of oppertunities to teach swim leasons, swim teams, water polo, and water exercise

ConsPoor upper management, they regulations they put out seem un-compeditive,
Hard to make a successful program, City really just want to offer the basics and not anything more
Un-friendly area managers, that do no do anything.
Pools are restricted from serving their individual community needs, instead have to opperate as a whole which really doesn't work cause some programs work better in communities than others

Advice to Senior ManagementNeed to fire the area managers, they are a detriment to the city, need to give pool managers athority to serve their communities in the way that best suits that communities needs.
