Pros

Great benefits package. Experience to work in a relatively new industry. Coworkers are very nice and intelligent.

Cons

Company rife with politics. Compensation is weak. High turnover of employees. Little to no training. Long hours worked with little or no communicaiton between higher management and supervisiors.

Advice to Management

Increase company morale, pay your employees competitively according to industry standards. More communication throughout all departments and levels of management.

    Pros

Fast-paced environmentally friendly company trying to convince large fuel users that there is a clean, domestic alternative fuel available for much of their fleet.

Good vehicles are being made by several small vehicle manufacturers-- with the same (or better) requirements that the Big Three would have to comply with.

A sale or conversion is a slow process...but fulfilling when accomplished!

    Cons

As the fuel provider, Clean Energy depends on vehicle variety and reliabilty...as well as convincing fleet departments (many of which come from an "Old School" mentality that diesel engines are the only way to drive their fleet)--

The sales process is upwards to one year and must have the buy in of several departments as well as be lined up with the next budget and fleet buy. This slow process is excruciating.

    Advice to Management

New customers don't come on board (outside of California) as fast as anyone would like-- especially without the incentives and mandates seen in California.

It didn't feel that other parts of the country were given the same encouragement or attention that the California teams had.

    Pros

Industry has potential (but see Cons)

    Cons

-The upper management is corrupt and hired on the basis of personal connections rather than leadership abilities. They do not seem motivated to do anything other than pick up their bi-weekly salary.
-Favoritism is rampant. Promotions are done solely on the basis of fist-in-you-face personality. People of shady character with no more than highschool education and with no life experience got into management positions and are doing their best to trample underfoot and abusively push out valuable, educated and competent employees.
-Communication about the company's goals and strategic plan is non-existent.
    -The turnover rate is huge.
-This has by far been the worst company I've worked for. Definitely not recommended, unless you are stranded and are currently without a job, in which case you will likely find yourself looking for another job somewhere else sooner rather than later.
