I worked at Clemson University full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Passion persists throughout Clemson University; passion for the town, passion for the university, passion for athletics, passion for the people. Most people are genuinely happy to be at Clemson which makes working there all the more enjoyable.

    Cons

Given that Clemson University a state university and one without a professional school, the university goes as the economy goes. Salaries in certain departments may not be as competitive as they are at other schools. But cost of living and the benefits of Clemson can often outweigh what difference there is.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep finding new funding.

I have been working at Clemson University full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Friendly atmostphere, if you're into athletics then its a great place to be. The weather is great most of the time and its in a beautiful part of South Carolina.

    Cons

A LOT wrong. They charge assistantship students actual tuition, thus making the assistantship basically worthless. Teaching too many classes to qualify. No incentive for faculty members to graduate students with any speed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remove the graduate assistantship fees. You're starving your graduate students.
