Pros

Tuition benefits through assistantship; Quality education; In a small college town; Setting on lake and near mountains; School spirit; People know that Clemson is a quality institution and that will help with future employment

Cons

Good ol' boy network; Conservative views of many employees and students; Lack of diversity and support of diversity; Clemson seems to continually hire its own graduates and lacks diversity in educational background in some departments

    Pros

As a physics graduate student, the department does its best to provide you with funding so that you don't have to pay a dime to go here. The people in the department are all very nice and helpful as well.

    Cons

Sometimes it seems like the school in general doesn't listen to the students as much as they need to.

  2. A great experience as a work study student in the Chemistry Stockroom

I have been working at Clemson University part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Working in the chemistry stockroom as a work study student allowed me a lot of freedom to create my own schedule and take on the responsibility of helping to run labs for over 2,500 students per semester.

    Cons

You have to be wise about managing your hours so that you still have plenty of time so that you can get enough studying done as well.
