I have been working at CliftonLarsonAllen full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Demanding, challenging work in a supportive environment, with very good job growth potential.

Cons

Really the only Con to being a tax accountant is the long hours that happen from Jan - April.

    Small enough to provide a lot of variety in the job. Big enough to provide good training and opportunities.

    I have been working at CliftonLarsonAllen full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Somewhat friendly and relaxed atmosphere since the firm is fairly small in size. Achieving a decent work/life balance is not very difficult.

    Cons

    Quality of technical training is poor. Also, it is very difficult to get a variety of experiences because once you've become familiar with an area, they prefer to keep you there year after year instead of exposing you to different audit areas and audit engagements.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Assess each individual's experience and staff the engagements based on what will grow the individuals in their career and make them well-rounded. Otherwise the employees become pigeonholed.
