I worked at Clorox full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Engineering was done correctly with equipment working as it was intended. The company was very safety focused. Often free product (made at your local plant) was given away weekly. Some really great talent was recruited to the company because of the excellent brand recognition.

    Cons

There was a lot of talk about working together to win; however, that really translated into working hard with the way that someone else had predetermined. There was a real push to be creative and think of new ways of doing things but only if you were one of the positions that gets to suggest new ideas.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When you hire people into management jobs you must tell them what to do and not how to do it. Let them surprise you with their ingenuity.

You're doing a good job of hiring the best but not a great job of retaining them. Company needs to develop a program to retain the excellent resources.
