Not Horrible but not amazing

Research Associate (Current Employee)
Washington, DC

I have been working at CoStar Group full-time for more than a year

ProsThere are great people, and wonderful amenities, such as healthy food choices, a small gym and free yoga class three days a week, an amazing holiday party.
All things considering the pay is good for what you are doing, I didn't realize that some of outr competitors pay far less considering the we are in the same buisness

ConsThe work sucks, its not that the job is terrible but it is repetitive and you will get people that don't want to talk you, Also the metrics don't take into account all of the work you do, like special projects. There may be project yet you are still expected to produce the same amount of work if you weren't doing the project. Also, there is this expectation for quick input of information, very unrealistic.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet more realistic exceptions of what a reasonable amount of work

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

I want two years and sense of self-worth back

Research Associate (Former Employee)
Washington, DC

I worked at CoStar Group full-time for more than a year

Pros: -- Young enviorment makes it easy to make friends in the industry -- Great benefits! Amazing health insurance, good vacation accural, exception 401K matching, corporate discounts… Cons: The role of Research Associate (Or Analyst as some boast on Linkedin) is not a research position. You are essentially data mining. I felt like… Advice to Senior Management: You need to place more emphasis on commerical real estate knowledge. That's what your clients… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
