I have been working at Coach part-time (less than a year)

Pros

The people who shop at Coach make it easy to want to work there. It is a very relaxed environment as long as you know how to do your job and do it well. Product knowledge isn't too difficult in comparison to other retail locations.

Cons

Depending on the location you work at, the people you work with can be a hassle. It is a retail job so you occasionally get highly demanding people. It is not commission, but what they call "teamshare" where if the entire store makes above X amount each month, everyone gets a bonus dependent on the hours worked.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please have matching accessories with all handbags/colors. We sometimes hit a wall when it comes to this because Coach does not make them any more. Also, please make women's belts and more men's shoes (quantity-wise).

I have been working at Coach full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Great people, 50% off discount, fun product, strong executive leadership team, strong brand loyalty at corporate and in stores

    Cons

There is no such thing as work life balance. Expect to put in 12+ hour days around holiday & at least eat dinner at the office a few times a month.

Expect a lot of "spin" from the leadership team. Terrible communication and unclear directions are the norm.

Reporting is very manual. Systems are tedious and not user friendly

    Little to no training

Career planning is taken "seriously" at Coach, but there is no true career path conversation that includes timelines and goals in order to take the next step in your career. Very bizarre goal setting process.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more people! Work on your communication skills!

I have been working at Coach full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits, ESOP purchase, that's about it

    Cons

    - Operating as a small buisness.
-Promotions and reviews are based off on how much you are liked, no matter the experience you bring to the table.
    - Mangement in IT is very Dysfunctional.
    - Brought in to help others on my team; however, being pro-active is frowned upon.
    - Needs a total culture change, beginning from the TOP.

Sad to say for such a good/growing company

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote people within according to how hard they work. Not if they are liked as an individual. Culture needs to change
