Pros

Good pay for the job.

Cons

It was a high school environment with lots of drama and favoritism. Experienced and qualified employees were passed over by inexperienced and unqualified employees for promotions. There was also lots of manual labor where you have to mop, sweep, etc. Late hours compared to similar jobs.

Advice to Management

Be honest and fair. Don't cause drama when you should be the ones creating a healthy work environment instead of a hostile one. Don't be condescending! It was really frustrating working with about half of the management, mainly at the top.

    Pros

The product practically sells itself, great quality, something for everyone, price accessible. In store teams can be fun with high energy, and really great customer building opportunities.

    Cons

Upper management plays favorites, and isn't always open to new opinions. Promotion not always based on merit. Tough work/life balance. Open door policy is limited.

    Advice to Management

Be more open minded when dealing with others opinions, and take accountability for mistakes made.

    Pros

Great Benefits. Friendly management and Team. Flexible when it comes to making up time due to doc appts/family emergencies. Interesting work.

    Cons

Very long hours on normal days. Staying late is expected so difficult for people with children. Office location is very far from anything worth doing. 3 avenues away from transit system. Haphazard training.

    Advice to Management

Hire more people to make hours shorter.
