I have been working at Coca-Cola Company full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Great Benefits, Great Brands, Lots of Opportunities if you are willing to relocate.

Cons

Recent focus on cost savings has cut into some of the benefits and a recent RIF will force those left to do more with less.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more proactive in communicating change. Understand that loyalty only goes so far.

I worked at Coca-Cola Company full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Work from home, flex-time, free soda fountains on every floor, company perks and discounts, and a very recognizable name to put on your resume. The culture is great and diverse. You will make friends, guaranteed.

    Cons

Long hours. I worked 7 days a week. Pay was way below industry standard. Unreasonable deadlines and priorities.

I worked at Coca-Cola Company full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Working by yourself most of the time out in the field.

Ability to express your creativity through your work.

Can be very satisfying if you take pride in your work and are a little OCD about things.

    Most stores appreciate hard work.

Can meet alot of people in the community you work in.

    Management is pretty cool.

    Pension after 3 years + 401k

    Benefits were nice.

    Alot of vacation time.

Great opportunity for advancement if you are an ambitious female rather than male.

    Cons

Some store (customer) personnel is mean to you.

Sometimes alot is going on and workload can become overwhelming.

Big company that rides on their name and doesn't like to pay their employees as much as they could. People will be shocked every time when they find out how much you make in most positions unless you are very high up.

Their best employees make the same or less than their worst.

Didn't see merit raises to retain quality employees. Early bargaining was the only way to get better pay.

Hard to compete against women since they are the minority in a male dominated industry (how many women do you know who want to be slinging soda around?)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The Zero push is very annoying. I'm not sure why people bother with diets and zeros anyhow.

Hang on to your good employees and pay them a decent rate so you don't lose them, they are the ones that really turn numbers and keep the company moving forward, losing them has to hurt the company tremendously.
