I have been working at Coca-Cola Company

    Pros

The Coca-Cola Company is a forward looking strategic company with a diverse pool of opportunities and career paths. The company believes in the values it communicates and for the most part does the right thing for its people.

    Cons

The company can get lost in process and bureaucracy as can most companies it's size. Recent changes in the company have helped the bottom line often at the expense of the people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The company is doing a great job of investing in the business, however more attention needs to be given to people.

Former Employee - Driver Merchandiser Ofs in Hollywood, FL

I worked at Coca-Cola Company full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    3 weeks vacation first year

    Cons

They demand way to much for the level of compensation they provide. Driver merchandisers are required to drive a tractor trailer, unload the product from the trailer by hand in to the customer location. Once in the store you have to verify the contents of the order with the customer, whenever they get around to checking you in. Often times you will be required to accept cash payments in bad neighborhoods, making you a target for criminals. Think you are ready to move on to the next stop after this? No, now you have to merchandise which basically means put everything away on the shelves and filling the cooler with idividual 20, 16 ,and 12 oz bottles. The shelves and coolers will be empty more often than not because the salesperson doesnt do their jjob and restock while they are there taking the order.

Now imagine doing all that 15-20 times a day, over the course of 14 hours in return for 140 dollars. 10 bucks an hour for this job is a joke and coca cola should be ashamed.

Most of the fleet at the plant in hollywood Florida consisted of 1994 internationals with no air conditioning you will experience breakdowns that pput you behind schedule and your incompetent supervisor wont understand why the truck not moving means you cant make your deliveries. Speaking of supervisors they are completely useless, they are not there to help you. All they do is write you up if youre 5 minutes te

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get equipment that was manufactured sometime during this century, give people a reasonable amount of work to do. Giving your driver merchandisers too much work for a flat daily pay rate leads to them doing a rushed sloppy job because they dont want to work 14 hours every day.
