I have been working at Coca-Cola Company full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Coca-Cola is special and always a great introduction to a conversation.

Cons

The company does not believe people make a difference. It has become a place to work on your career, not on your responsibilities.

Advice to Management

Stop outsourcing and devaluing the importance of experience before Coca-Cola becomes a third tier company.

I worked at Coca-Cola Company full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good pay and great benefits, team oriented culture, rewarded well for performance. The company strives to be cutting edge and provides the best tools for the job, etc.

    Cons

Not a place to go if you have an education and are looking to apply it (unless something like accounting). Really anyone can work their way up in this company so education isn't always a big factor. Not a lot of upward movement and lots of competition for the few managerial positions (lateral movement for years). Lots of pressure from the top to perform. You'll often feel overworked and underappreciated. They've been downsizing and micromanaging for the last year and a half. Sometimes a bit unorganized. Lots of politics - but that's expected. Long hours.

    Advice to Management

You have lots of good talent working for you. Do a better job evaluating your talent and promoting those that work hard. People leave there feeling like they're in a dead end job at the world's largest beverage company.

  2. Helpful (1)

Teaches a lot about how business are ran, both positives and negatives of outside sales.

I have been working at Coca-Cola Company full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Hours are somewhat flexible since its outside sales, and you aren't confined to an office all day long.

    Cons

Driving mileage is significant, and reimbursement is not sufficient. Hours can be extremely long, and include working extremely early mornings or even mornings on the weekend. Internal management has been moving around significantly, which means lack of communication as well as insufficient training for positions. Rearranging the sales routes without proper consideration has left many employees upset and considering leaving the company.

    Advice to Management

Re-evaluate who works where, with consideration to skills as well as drive time for each employee. Increase communication and training, and more fair treatment to employees.
