I have been working at Coca-Cola Company full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Coca-Cola is special and always a great introduction to a conversation.

Cons

The company does not believe people make a difference. It has become a place to work on your career, not on your responsibilities.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop outsourcing and devaluing the importance of experience before Coca-Cola becomes a third tier company.

Good place to work but classic example of a large corporation.

I worked at Coca-Cola Company full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Good pay and great benefits, team oriented culture, rewarded well for performance. The company strives to be cutting edge and provides the best tools for the job, etc.

    Cons

Not a place to go if you have an education and are looking to apply it (unless something like accounting). Really anyone can work their way up in this company so education isn't always a big factor. Not a lot of upward movement and lots of competition for the few managerial positions (lateral movement for years). Lots of pressure from the top to perform. You'll often feel overworked and underappreciated. They've been downsizing and micromanaging for the last year and a half. Sometimes a bit unorganized. Lots of politics - but that's expected. Long hours.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You have lots of good talent working for you. Do a better job evaluating your talent and promoting those that work hard. People leave there feeling like they're in a dead end job at the world's largest beverage company.

I have been working at Coca-Cola Company full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Awesome co-workers, flexible schedule, decent pay (but getting worse as compensation and benefits are reduced).

    Cons

Dysfunctional and incompetent leadership, political agendas, discrimination labeled as diversity (you will never be promoted if you are a white male), constant promotions for anyone who is a female or minority regardless of talent or skill.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Appreciate and recognize your employees, don't assume employees are happy because you say they are, understand that some of those who work under you are smarter than you and have better ideas (you can learn a lot from your employees if you can avoid being egotistical, even for a minute), stop reducing compensation and benefits for entry-level employees while continuing to give yourselves big bonuses.
