I have been working at Coca-Cola Company full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Its an interesting place to work, with lots of self learning opportunities! Quite an exhaustive workload that will help u learn if you are new to the beverage industry as the management will hold you responsible for anything and everything.

Cons

Plant management impedes growth, so if its your plan to grow within the company the right way, this is not a good plant for you to start as the plant mgr would not let you go outside the plant to another plant for a new position or transfer because he does not want any outside knowledge of how the plant is ran. He does not like to be challenged, and if you do that personally even if he concedes that you are right you would be discouraged with your end of year review as it permits subjective conclusion promoted by coca-cola as opposed to subjective values based on your work output. In general the slogan is if you disagree with anything even at the best interest of consumer or product quality, you are definitely going on a unsubstantiated PIP and HR will not do anything about it. This in-turn increase a high turnover costing the company a fortune on retraining and retaining skills to improve output. But not sure if this is Coca-cola's priority as the consumers already helped made the brand well known. if Pepsi was really helping their situation with avoiding promotion errors Coca-cola would have been super threatened!

Advice to ManagementAdvice

A 4 years rotation of plant management would help sustain top management plan to improve manufacturing culture. This will also help retain good hands as the metrics put in place to ensure hiring the right skill-set should be based on experience and education, not either or.

I have been working at Coca-Cola Company full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Good place to start for younger people to have "Coke" on their resume.

    Cons

Terrible work life balance, pay below average compared to competitors, expected to work 6 days constantly...even on slow weeks due to high turnover. Never enough employees to keep up with workload.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Go back to full time employees instead of part time and pay a wage that is high enough to make it a desirable job. Cut out the 6 day work weeks. Everyone is burnt out and leaving at alarming rates. Very few will do this job for the wages you pay.
