    Pros

    Flexible Timings that is also, if your project manager is not of an old mentality like If you will work more than 12 hours than u r good resource. Also, it depends on your manager and vertical or horizontal.
    Good for local people, not for other states people.
    Onsite opportunity if you have strong political mind to fight with your manager.

    Cons

    Every time you have to fight for your projects(Cheese) to get Billability, either they will force you to deploying at locations where you are not interested and if you are not agree then they will force you to give resignation.
    Also, if you are not worthy after a period of time then they will directly force you to give resign.
    Project tagging and billability is a big issue over here.
    You will get cab only when you are working after 8:00 pm that is also, if its required.
    Management level is not as much strong as other companies, they are just for display or showcase purpose.
    They will represent that their company is best in everything, but when you will join things will be different. They are good representer but not good implementor.
    They have created big processes, but management people never follows them.
    Their in hand salary is very lower than other companies, variable pay is also based on bucket system that is also not based on performance, it depends on your terms with manager and also from which region you are.
    They said they believe in Diversity, but their managers do not believe in it, their manager believe on regional tag(T-factor).
    They do not have any watching system on managers, they are free to do anything.
    Over all your manager should be good, either you will be in trouble :(

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Set a panel or tell your senior management to have regular watch on Manager and Sr Managers decisions, they are degrading morals and values of Cognizant.
    Hire managers who have positive attitude, diverse nature and believe in performance basis system rather than having political nature, gender biased, regions(south and north), cast and color reliability.
    North people are also coming from a very big distance states by cracking all your difficult interviews and tests and trying to live with you and accepting your culture and giving you good ideas and revenue. They are far from your families, but what your managers are doing with them region based biasing, because they don't know your language, but they know the language of positivity, that your managers are not able to see it.
    When your work is done, you will throw them like they from SC/ST.
    A big company like Cognizant will do these type of things. I can not understand.
