I worked at Coinstar full-time for more than 3 years

Pros – Great CEO & CFO
A company with a lot of promise business wise
Pockets of good leaders that work hard
Employees that are generally committed

Cons – Lack of HR support....way too lean and highly conservative. As a business leader, my hands were tied when it came to hiring and firing.

Advice to Senior Management – Need to truly merge/align with Redbox. It is difficult to have employees in Chicago that experience one thing and others in Bellevue who experience something else. Coinstar should be one company.

Reinvent HR. It needs to be a value-added partner to us business leaders, not just policy enforcers.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
