I have been working at Coldwell Banker

Pros

IT support, managerial support, training support; Coldwell Banker wants there agents to be succesfull and they spend a lot of time and money giving support and training.

Cons

It is expensive to be a part of the Coldwell Banker team and the housing market is not strong. Not everyone is making money.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Practical advice over theory is critical.

    I worked at Coldwell Banker

    Pros

    Brand recognition to the public.
    Strong web and print presence.
No cost to agent position (save the low split and split caps).

    Cons

Selected favored agent/teams receive virtually unlimited marketing support and referals.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This is the time to be more supportive of your independant contractor agents. Much higher splits are available to agents at other firms including those with equal brand recognition. When the numbers are actually "put on paper" CB's offering to producing agents is far from compettive. The CB business model makes good sense for agents with less than two (2) years experience, after that it becomes counter productive to stay.
