I worked at Columbia University full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Located in NYC Highly respected schools (Engineering, Business, Arts & Sciences, etc)

    Cons

Entrepreneurial integration between engineering and business schools not adequately visible Extreme space limitations in engineering for groups not associated with the most stellar PI's. Faculty are often more worried about tenure and research than providing high quality teaching.
