My first experience in the Insurance Industry

Sales Manager (Current Employee)

ProsTraining for a newbie is excellent.

ConsBest case scenarios are not the reality. Need to have another income source or savings first year or you could starve.

Advice to Senior ManagementTell potential hires the facts, so they can have a back-up plan to pay the bills during bad weeks. It can take time to get regular paychecks.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

A decent opportunity if you're good at it. Terrible if you're not.

    Sales Representative (Former Employee)

I worked at Combined Insurance full-time

Pros: Commission rates are decent. Benefits are decent, if you sell enough to qualify for them. Their accident-only insurance product (Accident Protector) is very good for how much… Cons: Their life core insurance product (Family Life Protector) is not particularly good. Lots of cold-calling businesses and sometimes residential areas. If you aren't particularly good at selling… Advice to Senior Management: Invest more in your employees. Focus more on developing real relationships between agents and clients rather than just shoving every client to a new agent when… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
