Former Employee - Account Executive in Lynnwood, WA

I worked at Comcast full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Working as a CAE I and CAE II was a great experience. Nice people to work with and everyone is generally helpful. Good Benefits, Free cable/internet/phone. The pay is average as well.

Cons

Everything comes down to your metrics. It's a number game to be honest. Do a great job and recognition is minimal. Attendance is very very strict

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ease up on attendance rules, Life happens too.

I have been working at Comcast full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Learn people skills, stay on top of emerging technologies, ongoing education, great benefits

    Cons

Often time new equipment & products are deployed before decent testing has been done. Front line employees are micro-managed and are often looked at as nothing but numbers there to line the pockets of the highly paid executives

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put as much effort into paying the little people as you do paying yourself. Quit putting so much importance into the metrics!

Current Employee - Tier I Tech Support in Naperville, IL

I have been working at Comcast full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits Cable is included with your benefits. You pay only $40.00 for renting the equipment.
BVE - VoiP is a new Department and has low volume of calls. They will train you for Tier I Tech Support. So far a little lay back.

    Cons

They use too many database to track customer. They have too many software application to track VoIP issues. Take too long to retrieve customer id and resolve the issue due to multiple applications.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Merge the databases...
