Former Employee – worked at Comcast full-time for more than 10 years

Pros – A financially healthy and growing company that has leveraged the advantages of vertical and horizontal integration. A great senior management team (Roberts, Burke, Smit, Angelakis) who have built a solid foundation for the future.

Cons – The "cable" side of the house faces increased pressure to grow revenue by reducing expenses which puts their focus on customer satisfaction on the back-burner, contrary to the companies "credo". In the "West" the leaders have made a decision to sacrifice thousands of jobs to drive profits while at the same time negatively impacting customer service.

Advice to Senior Management – The "Divisional" structure, which puts in place "independent" operating plans and approaches, is an unneeded and very expensive level of management that should be "consolidated" nationally. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
