    Doesn't Recommend
    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Comerica has good benefits and is very stable. Lots of very nice people work there. Management is very fiscally conservative and has managed to steer the bank clear of the financial problems many other banks have suffered.

    Cons

You are not taken seriously until you reach VP. The performance measurement system is horribly subjective and managers play with scores. Very little chance for advancement once you reach officer level. Salary is low by industry standards.

    Advice to Management

Develop a more comprehensive talent management system. Recognize that people below VP can make significant contributions. Encourage movement in management ranks, too many people have been doing the same thing the same way for too long.
