    I have been working at Commonwealth Bank of Australia full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Excellent and well integrated IT systems, comprehensive and easy to follow policies and procedures. Good working hours, especially if working out of a branch. Largest retail banking customer base in Australia, with most branches and ATMs. Probably number 1 bank in Australia.

    Cons

    Very rigid policies and processes which makes doing anything 'different' or out of the ordinary extremely difficult. Very results/numbers driven organisation. Still a large number of 'older' employees in senior management meaning a lot of times they are adverse to change.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Be more open to new suggestions and new ways of 'doing business'
    Try to encourage more teamwork and collaboration between different business units
    Not so heavily focused on bottom line and try to see intangible benefits
