Current Employee – been working at Commonwealth Bank of Australia full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – CBA is a great place to work. Management are supportive of flexi work arrangements, the working environment is amazing and there is a great work-life balance.
Cons – A lot of 'dead wood' in terms of employees who have been in the bank far too long which brings down the quality of the employee base. Not much opportunity for promotion or salary increases, and management is generally unsupportive of allowing staff to be involved in other projects or broaden/change the scope of a role, to provide cross-skilling and professional development.
Advice to Senior Management – More focus on professional development. This will sort out the employees who are 'cruising' and will assist in pointing out the quality staff and future leaders.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
