I have been working at Commonwealth Bank of Australia as a contractor (less than an year)

Pros

The organization is Progressive, good work life balance, nice teams and people, multicutural and flexible. There are plenty of internal opportunities to move across teams

Cons

You might be a small cog in a machinery - no other cons. It is a great place to be working in.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to reduce some procedures and authorizations - it is reducing the speed of operating and making strategic moves

I worked at Commonwealth Bank of Australia full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Modicum of opportunities for internal advancement and skills development. Some intelligent and experienced individuals, that act as mentors and excellent resources, but they are sparsely located around the bank, and take effort to find.

    Cons

Bureaucratic, low accountability, Slow to rectify errors in policy and defensive of these erros, when they are highlighted. More inclined to protect margins and safeguard existing practices, rather than adapt, change and least likely to lead any change.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Accountability.
