I have been working at Commonwealth of Massachusetts full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Teamwork is emphasized in the office. Employees are very supportive of each other. You are encouraged to ask for assistance and guidance when needed. Everyone's strengths are used for the good of the team. Good job stability and 37.5 hour weeks are a plus!

    Cons

Very limited training opportunities, but recently with the development of webinaires more training is available to employees. Upward mobility is very limited for technical staff. Many employees remain in their position for decades, as such, limited promotional opportunities is the rule.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would ask management to value their staff more by allowing for more staff training to boost employee creativity.
