I have been working at Community Substance Abuse Centers full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits, supportive supervisors, nice coworkers, I like the early hours also. The clients keep the work interesting, and many staff have been here for years. Paid trainings is a nice bonus.

    Cons

I don't have any major problems with the clinic currently, although I can understand the other reviewer's concern that there are limited opportunities for moving up within the company.

I worked at Community Substance Abuse Centers

    Pros

Coworkers are nice. The Medical Director is a real gentleman and treats patients and staff with respect. Birthdays are celebrated..

    Cons

Management is ineffective and there is little leadership. Cleanliness is not a priority. There is no opportunity for advancement.. Respect for employees is not seen. Recognition for contributions made does not exist.. Salaries and raises are inequitable. Morale is extremely low and regular turnover creates issues.. Supervision required of employees is not meaningful and of no value. Expectations of employees are inconsistent and there is favoritism toward certain employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

CSAC needs to treat employees with dignity and respect.. You need to look at the lack of a career ladder so that people can believe that they have a future there. Get managers who care about the employees and not just the power that they have .Do something about security so that employees can feel comfortable in a situation that can be volitile and dangerous. Clean the place up so that it might look like a medical facility.
