Compass is full of great people, their compensation is below average, and rewards with pats on the back.

I have been working at Compass Group full-time

    Pros

Responsibilities are minimum compared to high paying occupation, although you still work hard. Almost everyone that works there is genuinely friendly, or feels like they are in the same boat as you. They usually seem to give their employees a large discount on eating their own food.

    Cons

They compensate terribly for technical jobs. Knowledge of hardware and software systems is not adequately respected by management. They treat their employees as expendable, but pretend to value everyone for the individual that they are. Moving to another position internally that is considered a promotion will land you a small raise no matter how complicated the new position is. Most people leave the company to come back so they can get hired for a higher pay. Uninspiring environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Those with technical knowledge should be compensated, because you rely on them to do much of your work.
