I worked at Comprehensive Health Services full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Amazing salary. Interesting work. Some co-workers were really nice and supportive--great friends.

    Cons

Once they get you into Iraq where they pay such a high salary for working in a combat zone, the supervisors intimidate you to see how much abuse you will accept. They try to break you so you either are completely under their power or you go home and never return. It is a culture of fear of co-workers who will jump on the band wagon to help supervisors intimidate you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of the crazy supervisors.

I have been working at Comprehensive Health Services full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Great pay and benefits. Just went to a 90/30 rotation. That is 90 days in Iraq and 30 days paid leave

    Cons

Start up contract with a lot of growing pains. Management and logistics is improving by just noticeable increments. Living conditions vary considerably from site to site but are tolerable. With a military background one should cope easily. Patient management is only dicey in that you are working with less and expected to do your best. You may have delayed extraction of patients due to many factors and that can be stressful.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the boots on the ground. Start logistic strike teams to inventory and standardize each site through sytematic visits that identify shortages, deficits and actually accomplish set goals. Minimize managment Boondoggles that demoralize others by their wastefulness.
