CompuCom is a great for the experience, but don't expect it to be a career.

I have been working at CompuCom

Pros

Good benefits including medical.
Work from home until called out to customer's site.
My Boss is 500+ miles away... no micro management.
Well defined job responsibilities.
Online training to get more I. T. certifications is provided and encouraged.

Cons

Compensation is okay but could be better.
Mileage reimbursement is not as high as other companies.
As with other large corporations of this size, you are going to deal with lots of red tape over things such as ordering parts and maintaining inventory.
Doubtful to have a long career with this company. Your position is based on a contract with CompuCom's customer, and when it ends, so does your position.

    Pros

It will pay the bills until you find a better job.

    Cons

Petty and clueless management, poor morale, most employees are overworked and not compensated for it, bringing your concerns to a superior will be largely ignored, pay will stay entry level for the entirety of your tenure there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay attention to your employees instead of trying to convince them that they're happy - the morale there is probably the worst I've seen in all my years of working, but management is absolutely clueless to how their teams really feel. Complaints are ignored, employees underappreciated, overworked, and micromanaged. Quit coming in around 9 and leaving at 4 while your subordinates are working two hours of unpaid overtime everyday because you won't hire somebody new to help with the work.

    Pros

    Great opportunity to get experience

    Cons

    Lack of communication, poor compensation

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My senior is fantastic. The ones under her need to realize they aren't as great as they think and stop delegating work to others and taking the credit for goals being met
