I have been working at CompuCom full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Experience, environment and accrued time. You learn a lot if you apply yourself. Vacation time, PTO etc are fantastic as well. Certifications are paid for, if you can find time to do tham or get approved for them.

Cons

NO RAISES, no compensation, NO RAISES. Training is terrible, there is no incentive to perform daily duties. NO RAISES
The ever changing policies combines with the lack of training makes for a very backwards work environment.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees as they should be treated. WE are the ones that make your money. Stop sending out market reports about how much money the company is making and then tell us that we aren't able to be consdered for pay increases AGAIN.

    Pros

    You can learn quite a lot of things if you are driven to succeed.

    Cons

    Recently they are changing everything about the field service structure so all the good technicians are leaving or transferring to managed dedicated accounts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    The quality of field services is going to go way down the way it is being managed currently. Low Pay = Low Quality.

    Pros

    Some very talented people
    A really robust loyal customer baser
    Positive analyst sentiment and market positioning
    A market that continues to cry out for what CompuCom could do.

    Cons

    Exec leadership fails completely to communicate effectively and thoughtfully to employees
    Career development, training, promotions, job specs are not structured or consistently applied
    The business has underinvested for 6 years in tools, process and infrastructure- they cannot succeed on their vision without major investment from THL
    A strategic nightmare that is reorganizing- time will tell if the business can execute on a plan

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Manage more professionally and transparently
    Agree profit reductions with THL and reinvest in the tools, people and infrastructure needed to really offer a tier 1 service- staff are tired and fed up of 'papering over the cracks'
