I have been working at CompuCom full-time (more than 8 years)

Pros

The benefits are great for a contracting company. They work hard to keep you working for them when your job changes.

Cons

The company line is that ANY job change is a "lateral move" and not eligible for a pay increase. Salary's have been frozen since 2009. No CoL increases at all.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to negotiate better rates with employers so they can keep their top talent. Or else you'll just see more and more on-shoring.

I worked at CompuCom full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Independent work environment, quarterly bonuses, Management is willing to assist with any difficulties that may arise. Depending on your personality you can rise up and lead but you have to make the effort. Ownership, follow through and proper communication skills are key components in order to make an impact and be noticed. Don't be scared of Management. Go to dinner and spend as much time as you can with Management when they are in town!

    Cons

No raises for quite a while, Certain internal processes can be cumbersome. In particular the internal asset management system. Understaffed sites struggle with added work loads and outdated process measuring procedures.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train techs to be more proactive and more cohesive as a unit by showing more presence and guidance at the sites. Encourage techs be comfortable in communicating with management about changes/suggestions to improve workflow/processes. Evaluate onsite processes and visit sites quarterly.
