I worked at CompuCom as a contractor for more than a year

Pros

Good network of connections, worked hard to find placements. Opportunities for junior-level folks are abundant.

Cons

Not great at understanding my skill set, tended to get placed where my skills were underused. Didn't manage to find a career-oriented placement though.

    I worked at CompuCom full-time

    Pros

Steady work, middle managers try their best.

    Cons

They've cut to the bone to pay for successive corporate buyouts, and have started cutting the bone. 401K contribution is negligible. They're started outsourcing their own Help Desk support to India.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit trying to be Stream International. When CompuCom was a niche / high-end outsourcer, their reputation and delivery was impressive.

I have been working at CompuCom full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Pay for many certifications. I would say the benefits are about average. Also, vacation time seems to be about average.

    Cons

They dont care about there employees no matter how much effort/devotion you give. They will push you harder and harder mo matter how much work you do. Compucom never has enough employees to handle the work load.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stick up for your sevice technicians - have some guts for a change. Don't let Sales "sign" service contracts without the Technicians and managers of Technicians thoughts/opionions.

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
