I have been working at Computer Sciences Corp

    Pros

    - Large Corporation
    - Many IT-Related positions
    - Several client contracts / accounts.
    - Great learning environments for new graduates.
    - Quality benefits packages
    - Flexible hours

    Cons

    - Management does not communicate with staff in an organized way.
    - Management appears to care abot stock holder happiness over employee happiness.
    - Cost cutting methods are turning out to be more expensive due to complexity, and turn-around tme.
    - Old hand-me-down computer systems are provided to employees, typically with out-of-date hardware.
    - Mandatory 8% pay deduction (4 week furlough) in 2010. Very small raise pool in 2011.
    - Work very odd hours (this is often due to customer request, however).
    - No overtime for those crazy weeks.
    - Vacation is accrued, and beginning of fiscal year is April. This makes it very hard for those with a low amount of vacation days to take summer vacations with loved ones.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Show that you care more about the employees working for CSC. Corporate CSC should help struggling accounts more to help them come up with new ideas to generate new business, and stay afloat. If a customer does not like one account's image, it doesn't like CSC in general. If you spend the money to fix issues, the customer would be happy, and likely would result in more business.
