No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Computer Sciences Corp full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

CSC provides a decent educational reimbursement program that is generally easy to get approval and reimbursement for.

Cons

The size of the company and the work leads to a fairly disconnected feeling and it also suffers noticeably from bloat and a poor handling of speedy acquisitions, however this is supposed to improve with the new CEO.

Advice to Management

Do a better job at working with your employees on personal growth and act like you actually want them to become more skilled because it directly reflects on the company and its abilities to compete.

    Pros

The pay is pretty good and the commute at least for me is very good. Management is a bit clueless so employees come and go as they please. This can be a good thing or a bad thing.

    Cons

Benefits are quite poor. From 2011 to 2012 there has been a massive increase in the cost of health care plans. The new CEO is on a 1 billion cost cutting spree and it shows.

    Advice to Management

Stop cutting so much if you want to keep capable employees.

I have been working at Computer Sciences Corp full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good opportunity to improve skills via CBT courses Many projects available. However, most are small

    Cons

Terrible benefits are provide. Health Insurance is the worst I have seen They don't value employees at all. Whenever there is a change, the employees are the ones who end up loosing.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees as an asset (like what is mentioned in the various documents that you publish). This is not just for good language in various documents. Publish well defined career path as well.
