    Pros

    Company is full of highly talented IT professionals with wide and extensive backgrounds in dozens of technologies. Managers do the best with what little they are given. Project Leads are either great or fell off the turnip truck.

    Cons

    Recent clearing removed technical managers who were actually working and left technical managers who push email. Simple HR items such as changing federal deductions are broken in on-line tools and HR does not pick up the phone or their tickets. Zero Comp Time or Project Bonus process. Actual work week can be either 30 - 80 hours depending on loading. Slaveish desire to put processes into outdated Remedy, Notes and Sametime.

    Advice to Management

    First you are a MS partner.... buy Exchange and enter the 21st century and update all the infrastructure you relie on. Bonus and Comp Time need to be formally addressed when most of your workforce is 50+ hours per week. Furloughs and forced vacations need to be announced when they are useful, giving someone 60 day warning to take a week is unacceptable. Operations teams get projects dumped on them with incomplete scope and designs.
