    Pros

    If you are a go-getter, CSC is a great place to work. High performers are rewarded with additional benefits and good salary increases. Tuition reimbursement is wonderful and inhouse educational opportunities are outstanding.

    Cons

    Upper Management tends to take long periods of time to make the simplest of decisions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Stop thinking and talking about what you are going to do. Gather the fact, understand the issue and make a forward thinking decision.

    Pros

    Nice tuition reimbursement: $10,000/year for Bachelors; $15,000/year for Masters with 1 year required after completion

    Cons

    Sexist environment, older, male employees, mostly retired Army who are adverse to technology.

    No flex time, must take leave and sick time in 8 hour increments, can only accumulate one year of leave (10 days) which does not allow much time off. Manager will work with "in-crowd" regarding time off for Dr appt or school but is not consistent with all employees.

    Be careful about the job description you are applying for. These managers over inflate the job descriptions for all jobs so that they can pay a higher wage, but most employees are disappointed with their jobs. Management doesn't understand that there are other motivators, such as flex time and job ownership, that are as important or more important than salary.

    Decision-making and information are tightly controlled at the top, with most everyone else, regardless of job title, relegated to admin-type work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Hire and promote managers who understand project management, not just employees who have seniority. Understand that some employees would appreciate more flexible time or other benefits rather than higher pay - that concept might save the company big $$$.
