    I have been working at Compuware full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great products, great people, North America's tallest indoor waterfall.

    Cons

    Marketing does not validate GTMs before launching. GTMs are poorly communicated across the company.

    No focus - can't decide what it wants to be good at and which markets it wants to address

    Focus. Hire better marketing leadership.

    I worked at Compuware (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    Salaries and benefits are decent. There were some very good/smart people in the company.

    Cons

    Dinosaur company with a 70's management style. Senior management is a bunch of old cronies and finance runs the place. They keep rotating the VP's and expect the results to change. Failure is always blamed on the sales force, not the lack of leadership or a strategy people can believe in, much less deliver upon. PSD continues to implode and the management in this organization is worse than on the products side.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Focus on products and get out of everything else. Clean out your senior management including Finance and you might be able to turn it around.
