    used to be a "place with soul", great team spirit

    Culture that started in 2006 was "just do your work and we may lay you off any day"

    Pros

    * dynamic and personable team, responding to many changes and challenges
    * wide variety of experiences with many different products and many different teams of developers
    * actual enrichment programs, including outside speakers

    Cons

    * the company had been imploding ever since the founding CEO left
    * no chance for advancement
    * no chance for pay increases
    * only token rewards for innovative ideas

    Find a way to provide serious, substantial compensation to those who have new ideas that contribute to the growth of the company - not just a sticker, not just a new title, not just a token bonus
