Pros

People are great to work with. Management is flexible on work hours and accommodating when situations requiring time off occur.

Cons

The path to advancement has requirements (internal certifications) that are not offered making advancement pretty much impossible. They don't value experience outside of ConAgra when promoting. There are no full time Project Managers limiting any Project Management work to minor tasks such as release scheduling.

Advice to Management

Fully embrace Project Management. Weigh past experience when considering promotions.

    Pros

    Pay & Benefits. Hourly employees: ( some of the better people I have met).

    Cons

    Management is disconnected from the main hourly employees. Poor communication from management to employees creates difficult work environment. Management promotion is decided not by the most skilled/qualified person but by who can make themselves look the best even if they are not qualified for the position. Conflicting policies on how to do a task create a disorganized workplace.

    Advice to Management

    Communicate with your hourly employees many of them have been their for many years and have tons of experience running their equipment. If the hourly employees were listened to it would substantially increase productivity and moral.

    The floor employees are great people to work with

    Upper Management has a good ole boy club. Lacking people skills.

    Advice to Management

    My advice to the upper management is to go back to school and learn how to be good leaders not members of a totalitarian regime.
