Pros

-Had laid back supervisor, but still challenged me with tasks -Helpful coworkers -Able to teach me about managing, hiring, and payment posting -Had flex time

Cons

-First person to intern in the Billing Department -Had to learn the system quickly, but it was not too trying

Advice to Management

Flex time is great for working with schedule. Keep hiring people that do the job well & are social, this made work not such a chore.

    Pros

Friendly people, opportunity to move up in the company as long as you are vocal about wanting to do so, good company for people to really stand out by going above and beyond the call of duty.

    Cons

Unfair metrics used to compare clinics, constantly changing initiatives that often seem like busy work, very low emphasis on basic business skills that could be taught to employees to make clinics more profitable.

    Advice to Management

Everything is taught to be tailored to the patient and patient experience ratings and clinics are often rewarded on that. However, when clinics are not performing well financially, there needs to better leadership to change it instead of just patting the clinic director on the back for making sure their patient ratings were good.

    Pros

Limitless opportunity for hard workers. Training and coaching covers more topics and in more depth each year. Really does try to do the right things for the right reasons -- doesn't always make it, but heart is in the right place. Solid communication of corporate strategies and plans. Focus on putting the patient first at all times.

    Cons

IT could be improved -- plans are in place & implemented. Conflicting goals of Patient Service with economics of running the clinics can make things difficult. Adding 1 FTE for every 2 centers or so should be tried. Need to slightly increase respect for experienced staff and improve retention rates of right people. If you're not a fast paced worker, this is not the right fit for you.

    Advice to Management

Increase respect for front line staff. The demands are ceaseless and sometimes conflicting.
