I worked at Condé Nast as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Great employees and personalities, flexible work schedule and challenging tasks. The constructive criticism and the environment makes it less tense and easier to work in, along with flexible lunch breaks!

    Cons

Long hours, sharing an elevator with staff from Teen Vogue, and flexible deadlines mean that deadlines could also move up in advance, making crunch time a lot crunchier.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take care of the little ones and we'll get the job done!

I have been working at Condé Nast full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Working with some of the best and brightest in media and exposed to a variety of platforms - not just print. Excellent compensation. Working for some of the most renowned brands will open up a lot of doors and give you access to people you would likely have a hard time meeting at a smaller, less established company.

    Cons

Very heavy workload. They have been cutting staff and adding a lot more responsibility to the people that stay so hard to keep a work/life balance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be open to new ideas. Cookie cutter won't work anymore.
