Too much expectation with little financial compensation for the work involved.

I have been working at Conroe Independent School District

Pros

Opportunity to help a much needy socio-economic population. Smaller staff development classes, giving opportunity to know instructors and be known.

Cons

High expectations, little to no cohesiveness within teams, disparity of pay scale, removal of bilingual stipend, yet have more students.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give opportunity for other team members to take leadership roles, i.e. team members, RTI, etc. Give back Bilingual stipend.

I have been working at Conroe Independent School District

    Pros

There is a lot of flexibility as a teacher; summers off as well as holidays.

    Cons

Depending on your campus, there is not consistency in how each school is run.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work together as a team to have THE SAME, COHESIVE RULES THAT EVERYONE HAS TO FOLLOW, ADMIN AS WELL AS TEACHERS.

I have been working at Conroe Independent School District full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Inclusive of all learners, much opportunity and expectation of professional growth, clear and consistent in expectations, wonderful sense of community, excellent superintendent

    Cons

Huge amounts of testing. Day long benchmarks in every subject, three times per year, in addition to literacy assessments at least 3 times per year that take days to complete for all class members. Weekly common assessments in reading and math which may also take an entire test day for each. However, this is not entirely the district's fault. Sign of the times....

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    None. I love working there!
