I have been working at Constellation Energy Group

Pros

The energy industry is quite dynamic so the company is positioned to offer career growth opportunity. The company also fosters a collegial environment where employee views are valued. Compensation package is considered fairly decent. Benefits are generally good except vacations.

Cons

Long hours due to conservative approach to staffing. Vacation entitlement is not great (3 weeks for the first 15 years). Company has quite a barbell distribution in terms of employee seniority.

I worked at Constellation Energy Group full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Flat leadership structure, above-average comp, flexible work hours, opportunity to be promoted internally, flexible approach to work, senior leadership is with in reach for exposure and networking

    Cons

Not all departments are as good to work in, Bonus structure is a little behind the times, no increase in PTO until 10+ years with the company, policies are not well documented, HR moved like a turtle

I worked at Constellation Energy Group full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Benefits are solid and depending on the individual assignment, people seem very loyal and willing to work together.

    Cons

A significant number of new employees from other segments of the industry is causing a shift in the culture away from the employee. As the company gets larger, the feeling of being treated as an individual is going away slowly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more careful regarding advancement. It is not a good idea to hire a group of like minded individuals to the point of group think. Debate and discussion should be encouraged as a means to improve in each area. There is a significant pool of very strong people working there ... give them a voice.
