Pros

Good money - for now, but that's changing. If you're in IT, there really isn't anything to recommend about Consumer Source except the money - for now, but that's changing.

Cons

In IT, it is a wide open very crowded, very noisy area. They tore down all the offices and cubicles. Now they have developers 2 to a desk for pair programming. The desks are on wheels and you can expect to be rolled around somewhere at least once a month. For concentrating on your own work, it isn't possible in this environment. Six people in the space that used to be for one cubicle.

Advice to Management

Software is best written by motivated individuals, not by committee. You also need to remember the customer, the people who use the software. While you obsess on agile processes and the latest fad techniques, the needs of the end users are not being met. Watch for the falling rocks sign just up ahead.

    Pros

Create your own schedule and determine the success of the market. Lots of experience that can be gained while in this position.

    Cons

Just you can gain some experience in this position does not mean you will get compensated well. For the amount of responsibility and expectations set on you, compensation does not match.

    Advice to Management

    Invest in your employees

    Pros

Learned alot about what not to do and how not to treat people as a pier, or manager. Also, learned how to overcome adversity.

    Cons

From Regional Sales Manager and up, this organization has no knowledge about how to manager their field. They manage from a position of fear and bullying. It's a shame that the people who work in the field and produce revenue for this company are the ones who get the short end of the stick and are completely underappreciated. The Regional for one part of the country is a bully and will cut who ever this person needs to at the knees to make sure that they are never found out to be the incapable manager that they really are. There is so much turnover in this organization and it's all because of the basic arrogance of upper management. They cut the entire field support team and now it's all about being aa's instead of sales people. Best thing that can happen is that the company get broken into pieces now that it's sold so people can actually sell advertising again instead of being held to an impossible standard.

    Advice to Management

Go back to basics and make it up to the people who make money for this company....YOUR SALES FORCE
