I have been working at Consumer United full-time (less than a year)

Pros

-unlimited compensation structure, potentially earn $5000+ off of bonus in one month
-great co workers
-leads are purchased for you, so your only responsibility is to be a good salesperson
-company events
-rapidly growing company
-quick promotions if you are a good employee, knowledgeable with carriers, and prove your sales skills

Cons

-growing pains of constant new technology and structures
-bad attitude from the people who are bad at selling. most bad reviews here are from bitter people that didnt even make goal after a month of training
-some days you speak to crappy people

I worked at Consumer United full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

I was privileged enough to work in a new office in WB and work with amazing Sales Mgrs, Sales Director, Trainers and awesome employees! During my employment at CU, I have learned a lot from developing professional to personal growth. The WB office is an amazing atmosphere filled with talent, ambition and drive to succeed and grow.

    Cons

My only recommendations, will be to continue and to increase communication from management.

I have been working at Consumer United full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    -"young" environment
-you will develop severe drinking habits but all your coworkers have them too so you will fit right in
    -somewhat of a "resume builder"
-raffles are a daily thing (tickets to JT&Jay-z, Red Sox, televisions, etc)
    -CEO is a nice guy

    Cons

-long hours are expected if you don't meet your quota
-talking on the phone for 8 hours a day is mind-numbingly boring
    -unrealistic sales goals
-inadequate leads... most of the people you call are not interested in buying insurance. they're some grandma that filled out a survey trying to win a Walmart gift card but somehow we ended up with their info. Now go sell them car insurance. Yeah, ok
-base pay SUCKS. how degrading is it to be an adult with a college degree and get paid $10 per hour? at least give your employees a decent salary.

Honestly feel it's been a waste of time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please stop having HR blitz Glassdoor with good reviews. You're not fooling anyone. Also might be a good idea to have realistic expectations of your employees, given the leads they have to work with.
