Continental Airlines – “Poorly managed small stations.”

Flight Benefits and benefits of partnering with other companies to receieve discounts and the medical wasnt that bad. Overall, this is a good profession to be in if you are a single person out to see the world. It really depends on what station you are in, ideally it would be a hub.
Another good thing is your coworkers. Almost everyone I met was very accepting and wonderful to be around. They also put customer service first. Of all of the airlines I noticed that Continental really has their market at heart and REALLY strives to make people flying them happy.
Cons
Botton and Middle Management is TERRIBLE! We almost never got breaks, had to go to corporate to get paid properly for overtime not being paid, hourly, etc. Petitions signed by the ENTIRE station for verbal abuse and harassment by station management ignored by HR. The rules changed on a day to day basis but the abuse was horrific to deal with. This company doesnt care about the people who bust their backs in the little stations.
If you're going to work for this company, go inflight or work ramp.
They start you off at almost the minimum pay.
Advice to Senior Management
Care about your employees. When people bring up a case of abuse to HR, listen, especially when you have 15 others complaining about the same thing. Senior Management puts money before people and will leave a person in power because they bring in cash but dont think twice about the people who are actually earning it for the company.
Love your employees and they will love you back. Integrity and ethics are key, the company motto is "Working Together" but that very much doesnt hold ground with your bottom level employees.
