Continental Airlines – “Great job IF you (1) like to fly; (2) can stand Texas arrogance...stay away from Rev Mgmt positions”

Flight benefits, Flight benefits, Flight benefits. Not worth it unless you actually use the flight benefits. Feel free to make lateral moves to position yourself for better advancement opportunities. Watch out for inefficient middle-managers that actually cause bottlenecks in getting work done. One bad work group does not represent the entire company; move to another work group.
Side note: The revenue management group has got to be the biggest group of tools. That is one workgroup to stay away from. They are mostly fresh out of college newbs that have some odd perception of reality where they think they are cool. They will go to all mixers and happy hours. How do you tell them apart? They are the loud group of 10+ people standing at the top of the escalators during the lunch hours causing bottle necks. How would you know if you speaking to one at a mixer/happy hour? They will introduce topics such as pay grade and salary relatively quickly.
Cons
1. Houston sucks! The only people that really like the city are Houstonians.
2. Texas sucks! It's true: 49 out of 50 states think it as well. If you dare to move to Texas from another state to get employed...be warned of the odd sense of arrogance Texans possess. You know those 'ugly Americans' you see when you travel abroad? Well, 9 out 10 chances they came from this state.
